Corporate Sponsorship Guidelines
NACCRRA shall engage in corporate relationships which help the Association fulfill its mission and advance its vision. Support from appropriate corporations contributes to the financial health of the Association so that it may continue its activities to ensure the availability, safety and quality of child care for all children, and also provides important awareness-building for the Association.
NACCRRA has adopted the following guidelines for all corporate sponsorships:
- Sponsorships and all corporate-supported events or programs must conform to NACCRRA’s mission and organizational priorities as outlined in NACCRRA’s Strategic Plan.
- Corporate sponsor’s products and services must be compatible with and complement NACCRRA’s mission and values.
- To prevent potential conflicts of interest and guard against any perception of conflicts of interest, NACCRRA will not offer category exclusivity to companies whose products and services are endemic to NACCRRA’s endeavors; this determination will be made by NACCRRA. NACCRRA may enter into agreements for category exclusivity with companies deemed by NACCRRA to be non-endemic to its purpose and activities.
- NACCRRA sponsorships will not explicitly endorse a company’s product or service.
- NACCRRA will refrain from associating with companies that have the potential to damage NACCRRA’s image because of the nature of the companies’ products, services, or reputation.
- NACCRRA will not engage in sponsorships from companies in business areas deemed inappropriate for use by children, e.g. tobacco, alcohol, etc.
- NACCRRA will decide which events, programs, and member services a corporate sponsor may be associated with and will have final approval over all content.
- NACCRRA will retain ownership and total control of all NACCRRA events, programs, member services, awards, and communication vehicles. The policies, programs, and integrity of NACCRRA must remain entirely unaffected by any sponsorship.
- NACCRRA will retain total control over its marks/logos and their use by corporate sponsors.
- NACCRRA shall have complete editorial control over all sponsor-related communications to NACCRRA members.
- The Director of Corporate Sponsorship has the authority to pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities and negotiate terms within the parameters previously approved by NACCRRA’s Executive Leadership Team and Executive Director. Any departures from pre-approved sponsorship benefits/arrangements may require the approval of the Executive Leadership Team.
